Memory Tag

I have see this on a couple of peoples blogs and I thought it was a really fun idea!! It's always
great to reminisce, especially if it makes you laugh!!!

First, add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a lot and not very well, just anything you can remember!
Next, I'll reply with a memory of you. Don't be scared. I won't be mean and tell everyone about the time you forgot to wear underwear.

This will be really fun and I hope a lot of people do it!! It's great to hear what other people remember about you and a lot of times people remember things I dont, so bring it on!!

A Breakthrough!!

OH MY GOSH!!! I FIANLLY figured out how to change my background!! It sounds super lame, but I am EXTREMELY excited about it! Haha!!
I was looking someones blog and she had a link called Free Templates. If you have read some of my others posts, you know that I have been really frustrated about not being able to get a cute background. So I looked at her blog and there are LOTS of cute templates and thanks to her awesome instructions, I finally got it to work!! WAHOO!!!

A Great Heritage

As I am sitting here watching the Day's of 47 parade, I cant help but think how grateful I am for all those pioneers who crossed the plains, espeically for my own pioneer ancestors!

I have had to opportunity to participate in two pioneer treks and I honestly dont know if I could have made it across the United States! I am a big whimp and I dont think I could have survived all the hardship that those early pioneers faced! I know that I would have given up very early in the trek and I am so grateful for all those people who had enough faith to keep going.

On July 24, 1847, Brigham Young and a company of Mormon pioneers arrived in the Salt Lake Valley, where the Latter-day Saints settled after being forced from Nauvoo, Illinois and other locations in the eastern United States. Pulling handcarts or driving wagons with oxen or horses, thousands of pioneers carried a firm commitment to America's belief in freedom of religion as they made the trek across the plains to a vast desert landscape that became known as the Utah Territory.
According to Days of '47 Inc. "This trek of the early Utah pioneers exemplifies the courage, foresight, and faith that continue to inspire modern-day pioneers. By remembering those remarkable 1847 pioneers and all those who followed, The Days of '47 seeks to make their accomplishments and hardships live today through a variety of activities and celebrations each year. We believe the example of past and present pioneers' courage is a
beacon to the world."

I hope that sometime today, we can all take a minute the thank our Heavenly Father for those courageous and brave early pioneers!!

Defeated

I have official given up on trying to find a cute background for my blog!!
It (for my anyway) is impossible to get the text to fit inside the small
backgrounds!! ****sigh****
So, now I have this plain, old boring background because I couldn't take
the craziness of the other one any more!!

So I saw a really weird thing today..... I was coming home from work and as I
was sitting at the stop sign in my neighborhood, I looked up at my neighbors
door and there was a pigeon walking back and forth across there doorstep.
It was the weirdest thing... I had to do a double take!! It just kept walking
back and worth and every few seconds would just stop and stare at the door!!
Weird huh??

I also went to the eye doctor today and that was so much fun......... It was my
first real eye doctor appointment and it was kind of weird. The doctor was
pretty nerdy and it was kind of weird to just be in a dark room with him.
Any way..... the worst part was the eye drops! There were these really crazy
YELLOW drops... I thought my eyes were going to fall out! I didn't like it very much!
And then after all that, I found out that my eyes are almost perfect and they
only require the smallest percription! So now I have to find some cute frames,
which could take forever as indecisive as I am!!

Pardon the Confusion

Oh man!! So my blog looks pretty silly now!! I FINALLY got the background figured out and after looking at a million different options, I found one I liked!! Now my only problem in that things look funny on my page! It is really off centered and skewompous!!
So, now I have to figure out how to fix that problem, until then.... Good Luck!!

Sleeping With the Enemy

So I just had a horrible experience and I am so traumatized that I have
to blog about it!!

This morning, around 6:00 a.m. I was half way woken up by a funny, tickling feeling
on my hand. I brushed it off and went back to sleep. It wasn't much later that I felt
the same feeling across my cheek. And that's when the panic set in. I brushed it off
as fast as I could and turned my lamp on. I looked around on my floor and couldn't
see anything, so I laid back down and tried to sleep. But after that miserable experience,
I couldn't fall back to sleep, so I got up and got ready for the day.
Later that day I saw some feathers on my bed and I attributed the funny feeling to them.

Well, I was just getting ready to get in bed and I decided to shake my pillows out.... just in case.
That's when I saw them. Little, brown spider legs. That is right, there were SPIDER LEGS in
my bed!! And so I of course did the only logical thing I could think of, I freaked out! I started
beating all of my pillows and shaking my sheets. And that's when the spider body came
flying out of my sheets and onto my pillow!! I about died right then and there! This was
no small spider, it wasn't gigantic or anything, but it was a good size spider that had
been sleeping in my bed with me for who knows how long, and then decided to crawl
across my face!!
So I immediately made my dad come up and spray my room with bug spray and tomorrow
we are buying spider traps! Until then, I refuse to sleep in my bed!! Yuck!!

A State of Confusion

Okay, so I am not really sure what I am doing..... My awesome friend Nicole convinced me I should start a blog, so I did it!
But this whole thing is pretty confusing!! I'm totally lost when it comes to the whole templates thing and how to arrange things! So, Nicole, be prepared for some major questions!!

I'm also still unsure of what I want my blog to be about!! I have lots of opinions, but I generally keep them to myself, so we'll see how this goes!! I'll probably be asking for lots of advice and answers to questions, so be prepared!!
