Bloggin' Again

I don't know why I am such a lame blogger!! I am totally inconsistent on keeping my blog up!! It's probably because I don't have much going on!! But, I did post 4 new things tonight!! So, if you are bored, feel free to keep scrolling down!!!

I'm still working at JCU and that is pretty much all I do! We are having a "friendly" competition at work right now though and I am on the blue team! GO BLUE!!!! Hopefully I will announce on Thursday that I won some kind of super cool prize!!!

Speaking of work, we had our summer party last weekend! They rented out a theatre and we got to see Toy Story 3!! It was AWESOME!!! If you have not seen it yet........... GO THERE NOW!!! It is probably one of the only movies where the 3rd movie is just as good as the 1st!! And I may or may not have cried at the beginning................ and the end. Geez........ it's that darn "You Got A Friend In Me Song" and the flashbacks!! See it!! You will know exactly what I am talking about!!!

Darn To Stupid Snap, Crackle, and Pop

Have you seen the new Rice Krispie treat commercial?

If you go here you can watch it!! It's just these two cute little girls making Rice Krispie treats together and then they cut them into star shapes for the 4th of July. I see that commercial............ ALL THE TIME!!! And it makes me want some Rice Krispie treats so bad!! So what did my mom and I do Friday night?? That's right, we made some Rice Krispie treats of our own with Cocoa Pebbles as an added bonus!! And then we basically ate them right out of the bowl!! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

But darn those yummy treats!!! They were not my friend the next day when I got of the scale!! I guess they weren't too horrible either. I didn't gain any thing so I cant complain to much!!!

I realized that I haven't done a weight update in awhile, so I thought I'd post something really quick!!

I am a half pound away from 40 pounds (if I could have had self control against those marshmallowy treats I might have made it)!! I honestly still don't see it much! It's just hard when you see yourself in the mirror everyday.... I see the same person I saw yesterday...... nothing changes day to day for me! Maybe once I get down to 50 pounds it will be more noticeable to me!

I still love Zumba, but I also love kickboxing!! I now go about twice a week and I get excited for the class every week (something that still seems SO weird to me)!!! I also do water aerobics on Thursday night with my cousin and one of my best friends!! I love working out with those girls!! They help me stay motivated!!

My aunt was in town a few weeks ago and she recently ran her first 5k! She is now training for a big relay race! She told me about a cool program she did called Couch to 5K! It's a program that takes you from basically no running to finishing a 5k in about 30 minutes. I think the program takes about 9 weeks and I think it is something I really want to try!

I have NEVER liked to run! I NEVER understood people who enjoyed running and did it for fun! It took to much effort and work! But now I want to try it! I don't know that it would necessarily be "fun" but it would be a great accomplishment for me (especially since the last time I ran a mile it probably took me about 30 minutes)!!!

I'll let you know how it goes!!!

Good Reads

I LOVE to read!! I always have!! When ever you have to fill out those question things about yourself and they want to know what you hobbies are, reading is always at the top of my list! I am so grateful for parents and teachers who instilled this love in me!! Although sometimes I'm sure this back fires on my mom!! I will get really into a book and cant stop until I have finished the last page!! When that happens, I am not much help!!! SORRY Mom!!! It can also be bad for me!! There have been MANY nights of staying up until 2 a.m. just to finish a book!!
But I LOVE it and wouldn't ever give up my favorite hobby!!! You might also think it is weird that my second favorite smell in the whole entire world is the inside of a Barnes and Noble bookstore!! Ahh, the smell of new books!! I was actually there the other day and I heard a girls talking about getting a Nook or Kindle. Now don't get me know, I would LOVE to own one of those some day, but this girl said something that I thought was so true (for me any way). She said "why would you get one of those? Then you wouldn't be able to come to the store to smell the books!" Well said girl I don't even know!!! =0)

This month I have done quite a bit of reading!! That is a MAJOR plus with being done with school! I can read what I want, whenever I want!! The books I have read this month have been great so I thought I would share them with you!!

The first book is:

A friend at work told me about this series and I am SO glad she did!! This book was awesome!! It takes place in the future.... kind of a post-apocalyptic society. The government has risen up (called The Capitol) and they what used to be North America into 13 Districts. Each District is responsible for something (electronics, agriculture, mining, etc.) and the people in these Districts are basically starving. At one point there was a rebellion and after lots of fighting, District 13 was completely destroyed! To prove their power, the Capitol holds and the annual Hunger Games for the remaining Districts. One boy and one girls between the ages of 12 and 18 are chosen from each District to fight to the death. Who ever wins, wins an entire year supply of food and provisions for their District along with a life time of money, food and support for for their family .

It's amazing!! It's not very long either, and once you have read the first few chapters it is hard to put down!!!

The second book in the trilogy is:

I will not tell you what happens in this one!! I don't want to ruin the first one for you!! But it is just as good, if not better that The Hunger Games! The final book in the series is called Mockingjay! It does come out until August and I am dying to know what happens. So it could be a long 57 days waiting for it to come out!!! (P.S. The Hunger Games is going to be made into a movie!! Read the book before you see the movie!!!! )

The next book I read was Eclipse! I know, I know.................. I have already read it over 5 times.......... BUT, the movie is coming out so I HAD too!!!!!! =0) It's just as good this time and it was the first time!!!

The last book I read was also a Stephenie Meyer book, and if you are a Twilight fan, it is a must read!!

This book is SO short and can probably be read in about a day (it's only 178 pages) and it is so worth it!! It's part of the story Eclipse told from the vampire Bree's POV. It gives you more insight on Victoria and Riley and even about the Volturi!! And if you were like me and felt bad about how things turned out for Bree in the end, this book will only amplify those feelings!! But like I said............... it's very good and worth the read!!

So now I need to know what to read next!! Have you read anything good lately?? I'm thinking about reading the Percy Jackson series!! I have always been a fan of Greek mythology!!!! If you have read them, let me know what you thought!

Happy Reading!!

The Final Count Down!!

There are only a few days left until Eclipse comes out in theatres!! WAHOO!!! I am SO excited for this movie!! It's my second favorite one in the series and with so much going on, it should be pretty awesome!!

It will be interesting to see how Bryce Dallas Howard does as Victoria! I'm still pretty bummed that Rachelle Lefevre will not be back in this one though!!!

And one last thing that I think is HILARIOUS!!!!! I have never been a big Saturday Night Live fan so I never watch the show. Taylor Lautner (who plays Jacob) was on SNL last December. He did a scene spoofing Twilight Fans and I think it is SO funny!!!

I love it!!!

Marianna: "Edward is a boy"

Ellie: "Then why does he sparkle like a princess' tiara?"

HAHAHA!!!

And the "notebooks are for notes, not for kissing" is pretty funny too!!! =0)

Dreamin' of Disney

I LOVE Disneyland! LOVE it!! It honestly doesn't matter how old I get, I still love the magical feeling of that place!! I love walking down Main Street hearing the Disney songs playing!! I love look for Mickey and never get tired of taking lots of pictures with him and all the other characters!! I seriously don't even think about the person inside the costume!! At that moment I am just exited to see Mickey Mouse!!!

So, my birthday is coming up soon!! And it's a pretty big birthday........ a quarter of a century!! Ahhhhh!! Not quite sure how I feel about that! As you get older, birthdays seem to become just another day!! But this year I want to do something exciting!! How cool would it be to turn 25, on the 25th in Disneyland!?!?! I want to go SO badly!! I want to wear one of those awesome "It's My Birthday" buttons and a pair of Mickey ears (did I mention I would be turning 25)!!! =0)
I want to ride my favorite rides......

Over and over and over again!!! I want to take pictures with Sleeping Beauty and Tinker Bell! And I want to eat a Disneyland churro (they are more delicious there than any where else!

I also want to see the new show "World of Color"! It has taken a lot of self control not to look it up on YouTube!! I'm sure the videos would not be able to do it justice!! I was there in the Fall when they were building it!! It was amazing to see all of the fountains that would be used for the show!!! And speaking of shows................ you cant miss Fantasmic!!

Just the thought of the music and Mickey's triumph over the evil dragon brings a smile to my face!! And while I usually HATE fireworks, there is nothing like a Disneyland fireworks show!!

I have a friend at work that is thinking about coming with me with one of her friends!! Even though I want to go SO bad, I need it to be a fairly cheap vacation!! We would be driving down there and splitting the around $200 gas bill! And then we have family down that they we might stay with to help bring the cost down a little more. Any one want to come?!?!?! =0)
