Never Ending Dilemma

Tomorrow I have a hair appointment and I cannot tell you how excited I am for it! My hair has been weird color for almost 3 months now and I cant wait to go in and get it fixed! I know that color I want and I know I just want the ends trimmed, but........
What about my bangs?

My bangs have been WAY to long to wear across my forehead for at least 2 weeks now, so I have just been side swooping them!!
And now I cant decide what to do!! Do I just get them trimmed? Or do I have her cut them so they cover my large forehead?

Why is it so hard to decide what to do?!? Any input??

And I just have to throw this in here....
Aren't these the COOLEST bunk beds you have EVER seen?!?!
I found them on a blog while I was blog stalking today!! They just look so awesome! I love the shelves in each bed! They also have their own outlet built into the shelf and small lights on the wall with a switch underneath so each child can control their own light!! Sweet!! I would totally sleep here!!

Spring Fever

I saw one of these when I pulled into work this morning:
Doesn't that mean that Springtime is here?!? I think I remember when I was little hearing something about robins not coming out until it was really Spring!!
Well, I live in Utah, so even if that saying is true, it probably doesn't hold a lot of truth here!! We got snow into May last year! NOT cool!!

We have been really spoiled lately though with some really nice days!! The sun has been out and 45 degrees feels pretty fantastic!! I am ready for the flowers to start blooming!! At my apartment there is lots of space for flowers and I need to work on my green thumbs skills, so I think this year I want to plant all kinds of fun flowers! I am going to try to make some of my own planter boxes out of plaster and cant wait to put them out!!

I am ready for the snow to stop falling and for it to turn into rain!! I love a good rain storm, I really really do!! And Springtime rain showers are the best because there is no thunder and lightning involved {usually}!!

I am so excited for the warmer weather! To not drag a coat around... or gloves.... or knit hat.... heavy boots... I am done will of of that!! I want to get outside and do fun things and enjoy the sunshine and breezy temperatures!!

I am so ready for Spring! What about you?!?

So Many People To Celebrate

February 23rd!! I feel like I know SO many people who's birthday's are today! Seriously.... I think I know at least 6 people personally that celebrated today!! So I thought I'd share a few!
First, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my fantastic friend GWEN!!!

She is almost exactly 6 months youger than me {only two days off}!! She is currently my downstairs neighbor and I am lucky enough to share a heat vent with her!!! She is one of the most hilarious people ever and I always love to hear her stories!!! Tonight they invited me down for some DELICIOUS Oreo/mint/ice cream desseret..... it was fantastic!!

Second, a very happy birthday to one of the cutest 2 year olds out there!! She belongs to one of my best friends, Tiffany!! Look at this cute cheesy grin!!!
I teased Tiffany when she was pregnant that she should go over her due date and be late so that her birthday could fall on this day!! Little did I know that it would actually happen {SORRY to jinx ya Tiff}!! She is currently pregnant with twins {SO excited for her} and they are due the beginning of May! I am now telling her that she should come early and have them on the 25th of April so they will share my brothers birthday!! How crazy would that be?!?

And finally.... to my little sister! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
I was SO excited to get a little sister 15 years ago!! It was like having a life size Barbie!!
I would do all kinds of crazy things to her hair, paint her names, and dress her up!!
Now.... she can drive me crazy like nobody else! BUT... I look forward to the day when we are better friends!! HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY Kaylee!! Geez.... that makes me feel SO old!!

"Toe"tally Awesome

Last week I had a GNO with my wonderful sister in law Hayley!! We went to the Capitol Theatre and saw Ballet West perform The Sleeping Beauty!!
When I first heard that BW was doing this particular ballet I knew I had to go! I LOVE Sleeping Beauty!! Hayley and I had talked about seeing The Nutcracker back in December, but the month was just to crazy! So I was really excited when we were able to find a time when we could both see this show!

It was amazing and beautiful! I always walk away from the ballet wishing I was a pretty ballerina!! Their ability to balance on a tiny piece of wood never ceases to amaze me!! It makes me want my own pair of point shoes.... just to wear..... just because!!

This ballet is also great because the music is so familiar! The orchestra would start playing and I could instantly picture where that piece of music fit into the Disney version!

Did you know that in the ballet version the Prince and Princess get a visit from Little Red Riding Hood and the big bad wolf? I had no idea!! The the dance between The White Cat and Puss In Boots was very funny!!

I also love the costumes you see in ballets! The tutus are always so pretty!! And in this ballet some of the girls got to wear fairy wings!!

Book #3

I just finished reading this book about 20 minutes ago! I came back from lunch late just so I could finished it!!!
I really really enjoyed this book!! It's one of those stories that pulls you in from the very beginning and is hard to put down! Just read what the back of the book says... It will probably suck you in:

A young woman travels alone to a remote island to uncover a past she never knew was hers in this thrilling modern ghost story

When a mysterious letter lands in Hallie James’s mailbox, her life is upended. Hallie was raised by her loving father, having been told her mother died in a fire decades earlier. But it turns out that her mother, Madlyn, was alive until very recently. Why would Hallie’s father have taken her away from Madlyn? What really happened to her family thirty years ago?
In search of answers, Hallie travels to the place where her mother lived, a remote island in the middle of the Great Lakes. The stiff islanders fix her first with icy stares and then unabashed amazement as they recognize why she looks so familiar, and Hallie quickly realizes her family’s dark secrets are enmeshed in the history of this strange place. But not everyone greets her with such a chilly reception—a coffee-shop owner and the family’s lawyer both warm to Hallie, and the possibility of romance blooms. And then there’s the grand Victorian house bequeathed to her—maybe it’s the eerie atmosphere or maybe it’s the prim, elderly maid who used to work for her mother, but Hallie just can’t shake the feeling that strange things are starting to happen . . .

Sounds awesome huh?!?!
And I'm not going to lie... there were a few nights I considered sleeping with my light on!!!

Just "Love"ly

It look me so long to get Valentines decorations out!! I actually just barley put the last of it out today!! Nice huh?!

Remember my obsession with apothecary jars?!? Here is what I did with them!!
I love the jar of purple hearts!! And yes, I recycled some of my Christmas decorations for this project!!
I also really love the white rose under the glass!! It reminded me of Beauty & the Beast!!
Those pink ball things.... SO cool!! They started out teeny tiny but when you soak them water and they expand!

I will most definitely be using these jars some more! But I don't think they will be on the table!! I am thinking about moving them to the mantle!

Remember this wood:

So, I went to Home Depot and got these two long pieces of wood! In my back seat there is a thing that folds down that turns into a cup holder. Behind that there is a door looking thing that I was positive opened into my trunk {probably don't need to mention that I DID NOT test this theory out before heading to the store}.
I bought the wood and carried it out to my car, opened the trunk, pulled down the cup holder.... and then the back panel thing wouldn't move! It does not, and will not ever come down!! Fantastic.......
So now I'm standing in the parking lot with the long pieces of wood and no way to get them to my house! Just awesome!! I was in the process of putting down my passenger seat and trying to put them out the passenger side window when a really awesome guy came over to help!!
THANK GOODNESS for this awesome stranger that came to save the day! He read my owner manual and figured out how to lay my back seat down entirely {I will not mention the fact that in my trunk there are two clearly labeled levers that show the seats folding down}!!

I got the wood to my parents house and my awesome little brother helped me but it into pieces with his awesome hand saw thing!!
Here is what I did with it!!

I really like them! They are supposed to have ribbon on them..... but, it's V-Day.... today.... so there was no time for ribbon!! They will just have to do!

And finally, I just have to say how AWESOME my parents are!! My mom has always been so great at making Valentines special!! EVERY year she makes up little treat bags for all of us, puts them on the porch, rings the bell and runs away!! So sweet!
This is what she gave me this year!
She knows me oh so well!! Cant even describe how much I love her and the sweet things she does!!
And just when I thought she was already the BEST MOM EVER, I got home from work and found this in the mail....
Another Valentine!! It definitely made my day!!!

"I did not have three thousand pairs of shoes.............

...I had one thousand and sixty!!"

Do you remember my post about Imelda Marcos?! I found that quote by her today!!
I just thought it was a funny!!

Another shoes post. I know!! I post a lot about shoes!! I just love them!!
I was watching The Today show yesterday and they were talking about women's obsession
with shoes!! One of the ladies said something I thought was so true!
It was something like:
Women love shoes because we can always have a good shoe day! We never put on
a shoe and think "does this shoe make me look fat?"

Well said girlfriend!!
I thought it was awesome and realized that is for sure where my shoe addiction came from!! I have never been the skinny, cute girl in all the trendy brands..... but
my feet will still fit into some pretty awesome shoes!!

I really need a new pair of black high heels! The ones I had before seem to be missing {maybe I should check my monster couch.....}
I liked those shoes.... but I felt like I kind of walked funny in them! The other black heels I have are super shiny, I think I bought them to go with a Halloween costume a few years ago and I only break them out in time of desperate need {like when the other pair goes missing...}
But aside from the fact that I am not a huge fan of the shininess, they squish my toes!

So I need a new pair!! Something like this:
Actually, I owned these shoes once!! I had a brown pair and a black pair!! I LOVED them!! They were probably the first pairs of shoes that I wore until they were falling apart!! I wonder if I can find new pairs online somewhere.....

Book #2

I finally finished this book {based on the Grimm brother fairy tail The Six Swans}!!!

This book was given to me as a gift by a friend!! After reading the back of the book I was so excited to start reading it!!
But man.... it took me a long time to get through it!! The first couple of chapters were really slow... background kind of stuff and sets up the whole story! But I finally hit a point where I didn't want to put it down!

I think I will have to read the next one in the trilogy now!

The End Is Near

I have always been a huge Harry Potter fan!! Yep... and I am not afraid to shout it out on my blog!! LOVE IT!!!

I stood in so many midnight lines waiting for the books to be released, and then stayed up all night reading them!! I also stayed up late to see midnight showings with some of my best friends!!

I cant believe the whole thing is almost over!!! Those cheesy tag lines are true.... the ones that say "a series that defined a generation."
The first Harry Potter book came out when I was 12!! Half my life time ago!! It's crazy how many years have gone by since I read that first book!! I cant even count the number of times I have read each book!
Reading the last few pages of The Deathly Hallows was very bitter sweet! I was so excited to find out where the story went and what happened to all of the characters.... but it was over!! There would be no more adventures in Harry's magical world!

The last movie will be the same way! I am SO excited to see it!! I am excited for the battle scenes and for all the twists in the story to finally come out!! The final scenes of the epilogue will be awesome... I'm sure I will cry! For it will all be over!! No more books, no more movies!!
But I am proud to say that I was part of it for all 14 years!

My friend Nicole posted this on her Facebook page and on her blog!! It was too amazing not to share!!

It's lunch time!!

This is what I will be eating for lunch today.....

But what I really want is this.....

Yes, I know that it is freezing cold outside, so an ice cream
cone shouldn't sound that great, but it does!! I really want
and Arctic Circle twist cone!! Mmmm!!
Brings back lots of summertime memories!!

And in other news.......

I found my missing cell phone!! Well.... I didn't find it, my
fantastic Dad found it for me!! It was at my house....
the stupid couch tried to eat it!! It had fallen down, behind the
cushions, down by the springs of the couch!
I am SO happy to have my phone again! HUGE feeling of relief!
I was looking at phones online and there was no way I would have
been able to afford one!!

Gone

My iPhone has disappeared...... somewhere between 18th E and 13th E.......
It just vanished!!

I have searched my car.......
Which included kneeling down on the street in a skirt and tights.....

I searched my house......
Looked under the couch cushions, moved the couch, checked
all coat pockets.....

No luck.............

So I drove back up to 18th E.......
Drove around the church parking lot..... wondering if I would
find its crushed shell sitting on the asphalt......
Nope.....

Then I walked up and down the hall of the church.....
Nothing.....

I cannot imagine where it has gone to....
But I now have no phone, no texting, no Words With Friends.....
I hate not having my phone....
I hate that I have no idea where else to look....
I hate the thought of paying $300 for a stupid new phone....
