How do you defy destiny?
Helen Hamilton has spent her entire sixteen years trying to hide how different she is—no easy task on an island as small and sheltered as Nantucket. And it’s getting harder. Nightmares of a desperate desert journey have Helen waking parched, only to find her sheets damaged by dirt and dust. At school she’s haunted by hallucinations of three women weeping tears of blood . . . and when Helen first crosses paths with Lucas Delos, she has no way of knowing they’re destined to play the leading roles in a tragedy the Fates insist on repeating throughout history. As Helen unlocks the secrets of her ancestry, she realizes that some myths are more than just legend. But even demigod powers might not be enough to defy the forces that are both drawing her and Lucas together—and trying to tear them apart.
I wasn't sure about this book at first. I was worried that I had wasted my money! But, it is the first book in a planned trilogy so I guess some boring set up is to be expected!! In the end I really enjoyed this book! I have always been a fan of Greek mythology and this book was full of it! The beginning wasn't the greatest, but the end is full of all kinds of crazy twists! I just finished reading it last night and I am still not sure who to believe!! I guess that' the way the author wants it though!!
The only problem with this book? It's the first in a trilogy and it was just barley released in May! Dang it!! I don't even know how long I will have to wait for the next one to come out!!

I hate series! I love series! I hate series! Why can't they all come out at the same time? Why?! But more than one book of characters and a story you love, that's a winner.
