Well, I have none of those!! I dont even have an EX-boyfriend to bash!!
Sooooo, I am going to have to improvise!!

How about a letter to Mr. Future Prince Charming!!

Dear Future Prince Charming.

WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU ALREADY!?!? I'm getting a little impatient waiting for you to show up!!

But, I will keep on waiting. Hopefully you get here soon!!

When you do, I would like a pearl ring please!! Forget the diamonds! If you propose at Temple Square, I SWEAR I will say {NO}!!! And I do not want to get married in the winter or the snow!

I want to be the stay at home, cool soccer mom!! But I will not drive a minivan!! 

I will cook you wonderful dinners like spaghetti, chicken cordon bleu and london broil!! And I can make some pretty mean desserts too!! I promise to make you breakfast in the morning and cookies on Sundays {it's a Markus family tradition}!!

I would love to live in a colonial style house with you {did you know that the beautiful house from "Life As We Know It" is for sale?? I want that one please dear}!! A house that has a big, wide porch where we can sit and watch the children play in the yard!!

I hope you like adventures!! Becuase I have lots of vacations I want to go on with you!! Even if we just sit on a nice calm beach in some cool chairs staring at the ocean!

Do you like sports?? I will not lie to you, I am not a huge sports fan! But if you will watch musicals with me, I will watch sports with you!! Is it a deal??

Sometimes I get scared about getting old! But I think I would be okay getting old with you! As long as you hold my hand! We could go on mountain drives to look at the leaves! And have wheel chair races down the driveway!!

I'm still waiting for you Prince Charming!! I really hope that you are out there somewhere.... I'm starting to seriously wonder!! But I truly hope to see you soon!!

This Is Halloween

I have been making some Halloween crafts this year!!! I wanted some fun things to put out in my new apartment!!!
I started by making these cute letter in frames!! The {BOO} letters are at my house, on our mantel!! I made the {EEK} letters for my brother and sister-in-law!!

I didn't carve a pumpkin this year! Which truly makes me sad!! As gross as it is to clean out the pumpkin guts, I {LOVE} to carve faces and designs on them {even though I don't do it very well}!!

So my alternative this year was this craft:

{I have NO IDEA why, but blogger is freaking out again...... it will not let me post any vertical pictures!! It keeps flipping them sideways! SORRY!!}

I covered a pumpkin in pages from a book and then {hand cut} out the letters and the spider {while watching the movie Casper, haha}!!! It says {eek}!! I am pretty proud of it!! I just wish I would have used a darker paper for the second "e"!! You cant see it but there is really cute ribbon and lace tied to the stem of the pumpkin!!

I also put out my cute Jack-O-Lantern Scentsy warmer!! I ordered it last year, but it was on back order so I didn't get it until mid-November!! I was pretty excited to get it out this year!! He looks SO cute in the dark all lit up!!

I also did some holiday baking! Well, I don't know if you can really call it baking because these things are super simple!! And I guess they are not necessarily a Halloween treat..... I just decided to use Halloween colors on the tops!!

Oreo Balls of Goodness!! That is my {official} name for them!! Mmmmmm!! 

{Day 28}

I'm back on track with my posting!! Just in case you were wondering, I did EIGHT posts yesterday!!! It took forever!!! So if you want to see them all, you have to go back to the post right after {Day 21}!!
I only have 3 more posts to do!! And I am going to warn you right now that day 30 and 31 might be a little late!! I will have to explain later if they are {p.s. it's not because I have super awesome Halloween plans......}!!!

{What is your favorite color?}

When I was little and wanted to color a picture for my mom I would always ask her what her favorite color was! I never understood her answer. She always said "I like all the colors." HOW can you like all the colors!! As a 5 year old girl the only acceptable colors were pink or purple..... and maybe yellow!! But ALL the colors?! Uhh, blue is is BOY color!! And so is green!! How could she like them?!?! I think I always pressed her about it and she would tell me her favorite color was peach. PEACH?!?! They didn't have a peach crayon! And even at 5 I knew orange was NOT the same and peach, and I was POSITIVE she would not like a picture colored in orange!!
I totally understand her now!! I am way to indecisive to pick just one favorite color!! And it seriously depends on what the object is!! So, like so many of the post before this, I have not chosen just one answer!!! Here is my favorite color list!!

If it's a car, I like:

 CHARCOAL GREY!! I dream of owing a charcoal grey Nisann Murano or Nissan Juke!! It's on my long term goal list!!!

When it comes to my favorite flowers, Gerber daisy's, I love:

 The ORANGE ones!!

When I am eating a package of Starburst, I always save these for for last, because they are the best:

 The PINK ones!!

If I could choose my eye color, they would be this:

 GREEN!!!

I LOVE to decorate!! Right now I am obsessed with this color combo:

 BLACK, WHITE, GREY and YELLOW!! I want this room so bad! Look at that couch!! I {want} it!! I {need} it!! And the chairs?!?! I think they are sweet {and I'm usually not a huge fan of zebra print!!!}

I like to wear dark colors {for the slimming effect} but looking through my closet, I realized I have a lot of this color:

 Dark PURPLE!!

And when it comes to shoes.........

Heck, I don't really care!! They are SHOES!! And I {LOVE} shoes!!! I will wear them in any color!! The more the better!!

When it comes to jewelry, only this color will do for me:

SILVER!!!

Man! I was so far behind!! It has taken me a good couple of hours but I am finally caught up {for now any way}!!

{What are your short/long term goals?}

Short term:
* Lose another 10 pounds by the end of the year
* Finish reading the 7th Harry Potter book before it comes out in theatres next month
* Learn more names of the people in my new ward

Long term:
* Get down to my goal weight {I think I am about 70 lbs away.... eek}
* Pay off all my debt
* Buy a Nissan Murano

Have you heard of Toms?? They are shoes!! And I {LOVE} shoes!!

These shoes are SO dang comfortable and amazingly light!!

The first time I got some I ended up with 2 pairs!!

They are that awesome! But Toms are great because when you buy a pair

of shoes, Toms give a pair of shoes to a child in need some where!!

 Isn't that the coolest thing ever!! Every time I put on my shoes I can picture

some cute little kid in Africa putting on his Toms!!

That picture makes me happy!!!

{Who is the nicest person you knew for only 1 day?}

The first person that comes to mind is someone that I didn't  get to know at all! I met her for only a half a second  and I will never even know her name!

She as a really kind old lady!
I was on my lunch break at work and had to run to Kohls to pay my bill. I had recently colored my hair and I had gone pretty dark. I was kind of worried that I had gone way to dark and that it looked really bad. I was walking through the parking lot toward the doors and I could see this lady coming toward me, just staring at me. Because I am a total crazy person, and constantly worry about what others think, I was positive I had a booger hanging out my nose, or my shirt was too tight or my hair was sticking out in crazy ways!
But as she walked by me she stopped me and said something like:

You look so beautiful with your dark hair and fair skin!! It looks just lovely!!

I was honestly very surprised! I have never had a stranger say anything remotely close to that to me before!! And I could tell this kind old woman was being very sincere!! She was so sweet, and made my day for sure!!

It's My Duty

It's that time of year! But I am not referring to the fact that it's the time of year when my favorite season ends and my most hated season starts!! And I'm not talking about the time of year when we start stressing out because there are only 59 days to Christmas!!! And I'm not referencing the time of year when we get to stuff our faces with delicious foods!!

No, I am talking about that time of year when elections come around.
It's an interesting time of year. And quite honestly I have decided I hate it!!

I feel the strong urge to vote, I really really do!! Because men fought so I could have the freedom to choose and voice my opinions! And women struggled and rallied to change the Constitution so that I, as a woman, would have the right to vote every year. I truly feel that it is my duty, and privilege, to vote!
But this year I am having a hard time with it.

{I feel like I need to put a little disclaimer in right here!! I HATE talking about politics..... HATE it! So, sorry if you don't agree with me and do not like this post! I promise that I will not have many more politics related blog posts}

Politics and government, in my opinion, are so screwed up! People with lots of money run and people with even more money usually win. I feel like I am voting between two people that are "bad" and "worse". How I am supposed to pick one?? Neither one will really be a good choice so I feel like I am voting for the lesser of two evils.
But why does it have to be that way? Why has voting and running for office turned into a stupid money game? And why is it all about who you know and who can endorse you??
Why cant the good old guy down the block run and win?? The man that hasn't been in politics his whole life {and his dad wasn't either}. He is just and average guy who has lived an average life. He has ideas that could truly help our country. He knows what his neighbors really want and he knows their views and opinions because he talks to them all the time.
But a poor guy like that wouldn't stand a chance against some big shot who's family has been in politics for years and is loaded.

But the worst part about this time of year.......... I HATE all the stupid mud slinging they do. I hate all the stupid commericals that come on! I hate that candidates look for all the tiny faults in one another and then blow them way out of proportion and then flash it all over the TV. I hate that they dig things up that happened 20 years ago!! Who cares?!?
We all did stupid stuff when we were 18 or when we went away to our first years of college!! Jeez!!

I hate that politics ruin friendships because both people do not share the same party beliefs. Why do we even have to pick a stupid side?
I think Republicans have some really great ideas. There are many many things that they believe that I agree with. But I also think that the Democrats have some things right. And you know what, I even think the Tea Party has some pretty valid arguments!! Why must we pick only one side? And why do we have to fight about it and get angry and frustrated with those around us because they don't think the same way we do? Why cant both sides work together and realize that no one party has all the best ideas and all the right answers??

After going back and rereading this I am not sure exactly what I am trying to say, or what my point really is!
I guess it's just that I wish things were different.
I wish our country and it's leaders would work together. I wish people who have the power to make choices and change would do that based on what is best for the people in their area instead of what will bring them the most profit or recognition. I wish honest and good people were in charge. I wish the country was run by average every day people. I wish for a better America.

So VOTE!! Make your voice be heard and vote for those people that you think will make this a better place!! Honor those who fought so hard to give you the chance to go out on election day and let your voice be heard!!!

{P.S. On a totally unrelated subject...... I have fallen SO far behind on my 30 days! Ahh! How did so many days go by without a post!!! Today is my short day at work though! So that means I will have all afternoon to play catch up!! So check back later for an update on more fun topics!! }

Love, love, love it!! I could listen to it all day long!! The intro..... AMAZING!! Lyrics.... fantastic!! I love it a lot!! I think it would also be awesome to get an instumental version on it!! Can you hear the cello in it?? LOVE it!! If I ever learn to play the cello this would be the song I'd learn first!!!

{What is your favorite place in the world}

I fell in love with this place the moment we drove into the small city!!

Beautiful!! Absolutely beautiful!! It was so calm and peaceful!! I am not usually a fan of small towns!! I have always thought it would be awesome to live in a loft apartment in downtown Manhattan!! But there was just something about the atmosphere of Bath that was so appealing!!

It could have been the amazing baths that the city was named for!!

 {P.S. The baths do not smell that awesome!! But they are amazing to look at!}

Or it could be that Bath is only a short driving distance from London!! Oh how I would love to live in Bath and take day trips to London!!

Something else I love about Bath...................

Yes, Jane Austen herself lived in the wonderful place!! Walking through the streets honestly felt like walking through an Austen novel!! I {LOVED} it!!

 I would live in that house!! And I wouldn't complain!!! It's amazing!! It's wonderful!! It's just like Pride and Prejudice!! Sign me up!!
